Teenager's don't you just love them

When i think back to my teenage years i totally cringe lol..... 19yrs ago i met my husband when i was 16 and we've been best friends ever since.  Sometimes i still see myself as a teenager and forget ive now got grey hair and wrinkles appearing, but thats ok i just avoid the mirror.  When making teenage cards i like to try to make them cool and hip lol listen to me pretending to know whats hot and what's not.

While sorting through some printed images last night i found my favourite girl all coloured ready to be used, now how i fogot to use her ive no idea.  So today i stepped away from the red polka dots and opened my new paper pad to see if i could match her up.

I used my new Dovecraft Sugar & Spice 8x8 paperpack mounted onto brown card, my tonic border punch and organza ribbon.

To add brown to the doily and flowers i used Brilliance Cosmic Copper dew drop ink pad.  I love these
I also used the ink to ink the pearl pins.  And thats it for me today already fought for the light to get this card photographed so off for family time now, love sunday night tv x

Very quick card

Hi everyone, well today has been a really unproductive day today.  No idea why but i just don't seem to have done anything useful.  Oh well tomorrow's another day.

I thought i would share with you a very quick card i made yesterday using the fabulous freebie from Jessica Weible Illustraions.  This is Red Monster and was so easy to print and cut it literally took me 15 mins to make the card from start to finish.  I chose a basic design to show how simple and easy a card can be made when you are in a hurry. Some plain red card stock, backing paper is from a freebie in a magazine Nikki Silvis My Sweet Cherry Pie, sentiment which was also a freebie and 3 small gems.  As you can see this card cost me pence to make which are always the best ones.   Hope you like it.

The lurv truck

Hi everyone how excited am I.  Today i have designed my card for Jessica Weible my very first design card and my goodness have i enjoyed playing with this digital stamp today.  The digi stamps is the Valentine Big Truck which you can find here.

The design i have chosen is to use the image as a Birthday Card so i can show how versatile this image can be all you would need to do is change the sentiment to Valentine, Anniversary etc.

Alot of people think that digi stamps are just to be coloured with markers, pencils etc.  I have opted out of colouring today to help those who are not sure about colouring.  I printed the same sized image onto the blue then red then black.  Cut out what i wanted and glued together.  This way you get more dimension to your image and can highlight using gems etc.  I have used pearls Pearls and a small ribbon for my highlights.

The ribbon i have used is from my stash, the border to the ribbon is using tonic punch which i love as can cut through any thickness of card stock and the square buttons is from the ellison thin cut die Buttons.

I used foam pads to layer my truck up onto the white card then to raise the whole topper from the ribbon and card.  I'm off now for a nice hot cuppa coffee it is freezing here today stay safe and warm everyone xx

Just Inklined DT vacancy

ooh ooh ooh ooh how excited was i today to see Just Inklined are looking for new DT members.  Being one of my favourite local craft shops i was squeeling when i saw Jak's blog update today.  I set straight off making my card to put in which has worked out great as i'm still awake lol....

I chose one of my favourite images and whilst i had red on my table chose this as the theme keeping the love going, please please please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Baby Boy

Morning everyone i hope you are all keeping nice and warm, it is freezing here.  This morning my oldest boy is off to london with the school. He had to be at school for 6:30 this morning and will be there for 3 days.  Late last night he had a bit of a wobble over not wanting to go on the London Eye after about an hour of talking to him and showing him pictures on the net he is going to wait until he gets there and decide then lol... thankfully the teachers are fab and i'm sure he will go on eventually.

I've packed him my old camera but forgot the batteries that go with it aren't working properly so he's took mine out of my camera which leaves me camera free til friday night.  Thankfully i have some baby boy cards that i had photographed last week to keep me blogging.

The things we do for our kids lol i just hope he enjoys his time and stays safe and warm.

Mother's Day me to you

Good afternoon, well ive no idea where today has gone, shopping this morning and my goodness easter eggs are out and mother's day gifts.  Ive only just caught up with Valentine's day cards panic city.

I decided as soon as i put my shopping away that i would make a start on Mother's day.  I had already printed the image and backing papers off for a valentines card but decided it would be nice for mothers day too.

While browsing my blog i noticed an update for a challengefor pink and blue so i added a few pink embellisments to my design to go for the challenge.

Valentine's card for the one i love

Good afternoon everyone, i started on a Valentine's card last night for a friend of mine to give to her husband.  As it started to come together i started to really love the card, using the last of my stash of red polka dot backing paper i looked at it and looked at it and thought oh oh i can't give this away.  I have now decided to make a 2nd card and keep this one for my hubby then at least afterwards i can keep it hahahaha.

I used the character image from dovecraft me to you cd then raided my stash.  Isn't funny how the cards you set out making with bits and bobs look nicer than really well planned cards.

Hopefully i will get the 2nd card made today preferably before i hit the metro centre to get my sons new coat and shoes for london trip this week.  Method in that is go to the one shop i know he likes the name of and he will happily try on what ever i give him lol...... yeah right

I used the tonic studios punch to create border, the organza 12mm ribbon is from http://www.meiflower.co.uk/black-organza-ribbon-roll-23m/ and the rest is from my stash.  Sentiment is from the dovecraft me to you cd

Hope you all have a lovely Saturday snow is on its way so wrap up warm xxxx
